Hillary Clinton Wants Women to Be Free!

...to vote for her. Here's the interview from today's Today Show:

Hillary claims caucusing is hard for women because "they want to keep their votes to themselves." Talking Points Memo speculated that Meredith Viera wasn't quite convinced. Is Clinton preparing people for a loss?

But here's the other issue. Why wouldn't women feel comfortable at a caucus? They do, according to this article at Women's eNews:

Women made up 54 percent of caucus voters in 2004, and according to an October Register poll, 52 percent of those who consider themselves "likely voters" this year are women, including 62 percent of Democrats.

Among Republicans, men outnumber women 58 percent to 42 percent.

In both parties, Iowa women voted more than their male counterparts by 7 percentage points in the 2004 general election.

So is Clinton bullshitting? Survey apparently says: yes.
